JOB TITLE: Data Engineer
As a Data Engineer, you will join a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, developers, and data consumers to build advanced technology solutions for mission-driven projects. You will be responsible for the assessment, design, development, and maintenance of scalable platforms that organize disparate data into meaningful insights. Your daily work involves developing and deploying pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and scalable data stores for reporting and analytics. You will use Python to create scripts for converting various data types into usable formats while supporting the operation of large-scale batch and stream analytics pipelines. The role requires proficiency in big data tools, including AWS EMR, Redshift, SageMaker, Databricks, and Apache Spark. You will solve complex problems in domains such as fraud detection, cancer research, and national intelligence.

Ability to develop scripts for data conversion and support scaling, monitoring, and operating data platforms.
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Experience with PaaS/SaaS platforms like AWS, Databricks, or Redshift (preferred); Master’s degree in a STEM field (preferred); Cloud or Security certifications (preferred).
