Data Center Technician

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues within the data center environment.
• Monitor system error logs and ticket queues to proactively identify and resolve performance issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for design and operational failures.
• Audit power and mechanical capacity to support site upgrades and utility requirements.
• Test and validate the installation and operation of electrical and mechanical systems with project teams.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation regarding data center operations and procedures.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to infrastructure reliability, availability, and safety.
• Propose automation and process improvements to simplify and optimize data center operations.

What we're looking for

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
• 3-8 years of experience in Data Center infrastructure operations support and server administration in a mid-sized environment.
• 3-8 years of incident management responding to electrical and mechanical failures.
• Demonstrated expertise in at least two areas: Power Capacity allocation, Incident management, Systems administration (Linux/Windows), or Networking (DNS, TCP/IP).
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience supporting large, Enterprise customers in an Operations environment.
• Experience from a reputable Cloud provider or Tier 1 Data Center colocation provider (preferred).
