As a Data & AI Governance & Ethics Lead, you will join the team to ensure the quality, integrity, and timeliness of operational data while leading cross-functional teams in developing information and data governance initiatives. You will monitor and interpret emerging AI regulations, state-level laws, and industry standards to manage risks associated with the deployment of artificial intelligence. Your daily responsibilities include authoring governance guidelines, creating training content, and managing multi-year roadmap implementation plans for data management. The role requires expertise in information architecture, risk management frameworks, and model risk management. You will utilize knowledge of privacy regulations like GLBA, CCPA/CPRA, and GDPR to navigate the complexities of high-stakes financial services. Key skills include data engineering processes, audit practices, and a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape surrounding AI and data privacy.
Monitor and interpret emerging AI regulations, state laws, and industry standards to ensure compliant data usage.
Lead cross-functional teams in the development of information and data governance initiatives.
Author and contribute to information governance guidelines, policies, and standards for stakeholders and technical teams.
Develop multi-year roadmaps and implementation plans for information governance programs.
Enforce adherence to data management policies through audits, peer reviews, and monitoring of KPIs.
Create training content based on internal requirements and industry best practices for the organization.
Identify, measure, and control risks associated with business activities in accordance with compliance policies.
Serve as a subject matter expert to mentor others and grow the maturity of the information governance community.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in a related technical field and 8 years of experience in information/data practices, or an advanced degree with 6 years of experience.
At least 2 years of experience developing Data Development and Data Engineering processes.
At least 2 years of operational knowledge regarding risk management and mitigation frameworks.
Experience developing data governance and management strategies and roadmaps.
Expert knowledge of industry information/data governance best practices.
Experience in AI governance, model risk management, and compliance with federal and state-level AI laws.
Understanding of data privacy implications including GLBA, CCPA/CPRA, and GDPR.
Preferred certifications include AIGP, CIMP, IGP, Certified Information Professional, or CDMP.
