What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain an AI governance roadmap to support R&D strategy and manage risks.
  • Implement quality assurance processes for AI/ML and GenAI systems in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Partner with internal teams to streamline governance workflows and ensure consistent adoption across the organization.
  • Create playbooks, toolkits, and standardized guidance to promote responsible AI practices.
  • Establish and track metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of audits, reviews, and risk assessments.
  • Serve as a technical and strategic advisor on AI governance for stakeholders and functional partners.
  • Represent the company in external forums to contribute to industry standards and best practices.

What we're looking for

  • Advanced degree (PhD or Master’s) in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Biomedical Informatics, or a related field.
  • Additional training or certification in AI ethics, governance, or regulatory compliance.
  • 6 to 8+ years of experience in AI, data science, analytics, machine learning, or related fields.
  • Experience leading, partnering with, or delivering AI-driven solutions, preferably in a regulated industry like pharma, healthcare, or biotech (preferred).
  • Proven track record of leading AI governance initiatives and processes for model lifecycle management and deployment in a regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of global regulatory frameworks for medical products and AI, such as FDA, EMA, ICH, EU AI Act, and ISO/IEC standards.
  • Deep understanding of AI/ML and GenAI model development, deployment, monitoring, and risk assessment.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including regulatory affairs, IT, data science, and product development in a matrixed organization.
