Data Governance Analyst

What you'll do

• Manage metadata curation and maintain business glossary entries within the Acryl DataHub platform.
• Partner with data stewards to define, document, and maintain critical data elements and business terms.
• Monitor data quality issues by tracking findings, coordinating remediation efforts, and escalating systemic problems.
• Facilitate governance workflows including metadata review cycles, steward sign-offs, and CDE validations.
• Maintain governance artifacts such as data dictionaries, domain taxonomies, and RACI matrices.
• Develop and refine data quality rules for completeness, validity, consistency, and timeliness.
• Draft and maintain technical documentation regarding naming conventions, process flows, and policy standards.
• Support the onboarding and training of domain data stewards through prepared materials and working sessions.

What we're looking for

• Degree in a technical or analytical field is required.
• 2–4 years of experience in data governance, data management, data quality, or related analytics roles.
• Hands-on experience with at least one enterprise data catalog platform such as Acryl Datahub, Collibra, Alation, or Informatica.
• Working knowledge of SQL for data querying and validation in cloud or warehouse environments like Databricks, Snowflake, or Redshift.
• Demonstrated ability to write clear business definitions for data attributes and elements.
• Experience executing data quality monitoring, issue tracking, and remediation workflows.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings and facilitating sessions with stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies, specifically Kanban and Scrum.
