Executive Director, Responsible AI & Enterprise Governance

What you'll do

• Build and run the enterprise AI governance framework, including policies, standards, and controls.
• Define the enterprise AI governance strategy across all model types, risk tiers, and deployment contexts.
• Lead a team of specialists in model validation, guardrails engineering, and regulatory compliance.
• Establish the enterprise AI risk framework for classical ML, foundation models, LLMs, and agentic systems.
• Set technical assurance standards including red-teaming, production monitoring, and pre-production sign-off gates.
• Own the end-to-end AI model lifecycle governance from initial ideation to deployment and monitoring.
• Manage GxP AI validation strategy and audit readiness across all regulated environments.
• Translate global AI regulations into enterprise actions in coordination with Legal and business units.

What we're looking for

• A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 17+ years of experience in AI governance, risk management, regulatory affairs, or compliance is required.
• Experience leading AI governance or technical risk functions in a complex, regulated industry is required.
• Experience building and leading teams that execute AI governance and technical risk functions is required.
• Experience driving GxP AI validation strategy in a life sciences or biopharma setting is required.
• Experience governing predictive, generative, and agentic systems in production is required.
• Ability to convert FDA AI/ML guidance, EU AI Act, and emerging frameworks into enterprise action is required.
• Ability to operate with credibility at both the engineering and board levels is required.
