Executive Director, Responsible AI & Enterprise Governance

What you'll do

• Build and manage the enterprise AI governance framework including policies, standards, and controls.
• Lead the citizen development program to establish safe boundaries for non-technical builders.
• Define the enterprise AI strategy across all model types, risk tiers, and deployment contexts.
• Build and lead a team of specialists in model validation, guardrails, and regulatory compliance.
• Establish an AI risk framework including taxonomy and classification for ML, LLMs, and agentic systems.
• Set technical assurance standards for red-teaming, production monitoring, and pre-production sign-off gates.
• Manage the end-to-end AI model lifecycle from initial ideation through deployment and monitoring.
• Oversee GxP AI validation strategy and ensure audit readiness across all regulated environments.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 17+ years of experience in AI governance, risk management, regulatory affairs, or compliance.
• Experience leading AI governance or technical risk functions within a complex, regulated industry.
• Expertise in managing the distinct risk profiles of predictive, generative, and agentic systems in production.
• Experience driving GxP AI validation strategy specifically within a life sciences or biopharma setting.
• Knowledge of FDA AI/ML guidance, EU AI Act, and other emerging global regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to communicate effectively at both the engineering level and the board level.
