As the AI Model Governance & Monitoring Lead, you will join the Information Management team to lead the development and implementation of governance practices for responsible, compliant, and effective artificial intelligence use across the organization. You will establish and mature AI governance frameworks, risk management practices, monitoring processes, and controls to address evolving regulatory landscapes. Your daily responsibilities include interpreting emerging AI regulations, managing data quality risks, overseeing compliance assessments, and leading data lineage collection. You will also manage master and reference data processes while ensuring privacy compliance for sensitive data. The role requires expertise in AI governance, model risk management, and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework. Key competencies include knowledge of GLBA, CCPA/CPRA, and GDPR regulations, along with proficiency in information management practices to mitigate risks within complex, highly regulated financial service environments.
Develop and implement governance frameworks to ensure the responsible and compliant use of AI across the organization.
Monitor and interpret emerging AI regulations, state laws, and industry standards to manage evolving risks.
Lead data lineage collection and stitching to ensure complete end-to-end flow of critical data.
Design and oversee data quality rules, metrics, and corrective action plans for critical business processes.
Manage master and reference data processes to align with enterprise policies and standards.
Lead privacy initiatives by classifying and analyzing sensitive data to mitigate inherent risks.
Partner with IT teams to define and implement complex access management strategies.
Identify and resolve complex data quality concerns through root cause analysis and process improvements.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in a business or science field, or 4 years of relevant education and experience.
8+ years of experience in information management, business application functions, or data delivery (6+ years if holding an advanced degree).
Experience in AI governance, model risk management, data governance, and compliance.
Knowledge of the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and understanding of the AI regulatory and legislative landscape.
Understanding of data privacy implications including GLBA, CCPA/CPRA, and GDPR.
Proven experience leading projects using data management practices to address risks throughout the data lifecycle.
Expert communication skills with the ability to present complex technical details to all levels of management.
Certified AI Governance Professional (AIGP), Information Management Professional (CIMP), Information Governance Professional (IGP), or CDMP certification (preferred).
