The AI Model Governance & Monitoring Lead will lead the development and implementation of governance practices to ensure the responsible, compliant, and effective use of artificial intelligence across the association. This role involves establishing and maturing AI governance frameworks, risk management practices, monitoring processes, and controls to address the evolving regulatory landscape. Key responsibilities include monitoring emerging AI regulations, legislation, and industry standards, while leading data lineage collection, data quality rule design, and privacy initiatives. The successful candidate will utilize expertise in the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and navigate data privacy implications related to GLBA, CCPA/CPRA, and GDPR. The role requires proficiency in information management, model risk management, and data governance to mitigate risks throughout the data lifecycle within a highly regulated financial services environment.
Develop and implement governance frameworks and risk management practices for the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
Monitor and interpret emerging AI regulations, state-level laws, and industry standards to ensure corporate compliance.
Lead the integration of information management and data management practices into new and existing technologies.
Manage data lineage collection and stitching to ensure complete end-to-end flow of critical data.
Design and oversee data quality rules, thresholds, and corrective action plans for critical business processes.
Lead privacy initiatives by classifying and analyzing sensitive data to mitigate inherent risks.
Partner with IT resources to define and implement complex access management strategies aligned with governance policies.
Maintain and validate Information Asset Inventories to ensure data integrity across the organization.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in a business or science field, or 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
8+ years of experience in an information management practice, business application function, or data delivery.
6+ years of experience in a data and analytics, technical, or business relevant function if holding an advanced degree in a business or science discipline.
Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing strategies or processes related to Information Management in complex situations.
Experience in AI governance, model risk management, data governance, and compliance.
Demonstrated understanding of the AI regulatory and legislative landscape, including federal and state-level laws and guidance.
Knowledge of the NIST AI Risk Management Framework (AI RMF) and its application to AI governance and risk management.
Certified AI Governance Professional (AIGP), Information Management Professional (CIMP), Information Governance Professional (IGP), Certified Information Professional, or equivalent industry certification (preferred).
