Cybersecurity Engineer Network Administration

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain unclassified and classified computing systems following Naval Reactors and DCSA security controls.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Linux and Windows operating systems to improve reliability and performance.
• Manage network components and implement system hardening techniques like network segmentation and least privilege policies.
• Provide remote and on-site troubleshooting for software, firmware, and networking interfaces of control systems.
• Support custom software applications for fleet maintenance and troubleshoot instrumentation and control equipment laptops.
• Perform critical incident response and root cause analysis to resolve configuration issues or system outages.
• Manage virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere, Red Hat Virtualization, and ESXi.
• Provide technical support for end-user desktop problems and server administration tasks.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity.
• 1 to 5 years of post-graduate engineering experience.
• In-depth knowledge of computer network infrastructures and Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Proficiency in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Linux and Windows operating systems and network components.
• Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere, Red Hat Virtualization, and ESXi.
• Understanding of system, network, and OS hardening techniques including password policies and network segmentation.
• Understanding of network security architecture concepts, design processes, and defense-in-depth principles.
• Familiarity with STIG updates, computer log reviews, and NIST security controls is preferred.
