Cybersecurity Network Engineers

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and maintain secure enterprise network infrastructure for the VA NEDIIS program.
• Provide detailed schematics and technical specifications for network architecture and hardware/software implementation.
• Manage and troubleshoot Cisco SD-WAN, routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure high availability.
• Perform packet capture analysis using Wireshark to identify anomalies and diagnose security issues.
• Configure and manage Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) firewalls and policy administration.
• Resolve complex routing and switching issues across diverse enterprise environments using BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• Ensure all network operations comply with federal cybersecurity standards including NIST and Zero Trust principles.

What we're looking for

• Must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in network engineering, telecom operations, or network modernization efforts.
• Proficiency in LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, routing, VoIP/SIP, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud networking.
• Understanding of federal cybersecurity principles including NIST, Zero Trust, TIC, and STIGs.
• Expertise in Cisco hardware (ASR, ISR, Catalyst, NX-OS) and Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) firewalls.
• Ability to perform packet capture analysis using tools like Wireshark.
• Cisco Certified CCNA, CCNP, CCDP, or equivalent (preferred).
• Cisco CCIE Security or CompTIA Security certification (preferred).
