Test Engineer - Embedded SW

What you'll do

• Manage security for network, server, and application environments.
• Monitor compliance with DoD, NIST, RMF, and FISMA federal security frameworks.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for security audits and authorization activities.
• Implement technical security controls including STIGs, vulnerability management, and monitoring.
• Manage and harden Linux and Red Hat-based systems through patching and access control.
• Analyze logs and conduct vulnerability scans to assess system security posture.
• Develop and maintain security documentation such as SSPs, POA&Ms, and SOPs.
• Provide leadership on incident response and risk mitigation efforts.

What we're looking for

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience related to the understanding of the job description.
• Background in Information Systems Security compliance.
• Experience working in DoD or federal government regulated environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance through the Department of Defense.
• Preferred certifications include CCNA, CCNP, Red Hat, Linux, CISSP, or CISM.
• Familiarity with security automation, vulnerability scanning tools, and SIEM/log monitoring platforms.
• Solid knowledge of NIST 800-series controls, RMF, FIPS, and DoD security requirements.
