Network Administration and Operations Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
• Integrate commercial, government, and third-party technologies into a secure, layered security system.
• Monitor and troubleshoot complex network issues to ensure performance across laboratory, staging, and operational environments.
• Implement network configurations that comply with DoD cybersecurity requirements, STIGs, and Risk Management Framework objectives.
• Develop technical documentation including network architecture diagrams, implementation plans, and configuration baselines.
• Support customer demonstrations and field installations by providing hands-on engineering expertise to ensure reliable communications.
• Evaluate network architectures to recommend solutions for scalability, performance, and security in a prototype environment.

What we're looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2–4 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience designing, implementing, configuring, and administering enterprise or Department of Defense (DoD) network infrastructures.
• Experience installing and maintaining routers, switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, and communications hardware.
• Experience troubleshooting routing, switching, firewall, VLAN, VPN, and connectivity issues in complex environments.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, DNS, DHCP, and network management principles.
• Experience integrating COTS, GOTS, and third-party technologies into secure enterprise or tactical networks.
• Ability to travel up to 50% for laboratory integration, customer demonstrations, and operational assessments.
• Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Security+, Juniper JNCIS, Palo Alto PCNSA, or equivalent (preferred).
