JOB TITLE: Cybersecurity Engineer
The Cybersecurity Engineer joins a team dedicated to safeguarding national security initiatives and protecting mission-critical infrastructure. In this role, you will troubleshoot complex challenges involving network and security devices, applications, and tools to identify vulnerabilities and recommend strategic solutions. Your daily responsibilities include implementing infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, enhancing detection capabilities, and improving event correlation across large enterprises. You will perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas while leveraging big data analytics to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise. Required skills include ten years of professional experience, a Master's degree in a relevant engineering or mathematics field, and a TS/SCI clearance. You must also hold a DoD 8570.1M Level I certification, such as Security+, to manage these critical security tasks.
Identify necessary tools to assess vulnerabilities and recommend security strategies.
Troubleshoot and analyze complex security challenges involving network devices, applications, and tools.
Research and develop new security solutions based on technology and market trends.
Implement infrastructure and cybersecurity controls to improve detection and event correlation.
Perform risk and vulnerability assessments across network, system, and application areas.
Leverage big data analytics to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.

What we're looking for
10+ years of experience with cybersecurity engineering in a professional work environment.
Experience planning, implementing, upgrading, or monitoring cybersecurity measures to improve cyber defense and maintain a cyber-resilient network.
Experience assessing cybersecurity vulnerabilities for risks and proposing and implementing remediation actions or risk mitigation strategies.
Ability to ensure appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and electronic infrastructure.
Ability to respond to computer security breaches to re-establish protections and make required reports.
Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics.
Information Assurance Management (IAM), Information Assurance Technical (IAT), or Information Assurance System Architect and Engineer (IASAE) DoD 8570.1M Level I certification such as Security+.
