What you'll do

Perform comprehensive security assessments including compliance audits and vulnerability scanning to identify system weaknesses.
Implement secure configurations for systems and network gear aligned with NIST SP800-53 and other federal standards.
Execute STIG compliance scans using tools like Xylok or ACAS to harden information systems.
Prepare and maintain documentation for security certification, accreditation processes, and authorization packages.
Troubleshoot and resolve system failures in a timely manner to ensure operational continuity.
Research emerging technologies and their potential impacts on the program's security landscape.
Develop technical standard operating procedures and contribute to security engineering inputs for program documentation.
Monitor and manage cybersecurity risks by developing and enforcing strong program controls.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or a related STEM field.
2 years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
Active IAT Level II (e.g., CompTIA Security+) or DOD 8140 certification.
Active Secret security clearance.
U.S. Citizenship is required for the position.
Basic proficiency in RHEL OS command line and/or Windows PowerShell.
Experience with NIST SP 800-37 RMF, SP 800-53 controls, and DISA STIGs.
Ability to perform vulnerability scanning using tools like ACAS or Xylok.
