Cyber Systems Engineer (Level 3 or 4)

What you'll do

• Architect and implement Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements for satellite systems, communications links, and ground command systems.
• Decompose system-level security controls into technical performance requirements for specific components across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Perform Attack Surface Analysis (ASA) and prepare Systems Security Plan (SSP) documentation including Risk Assessment Reports and Traceability Matrices.
• Implement and maintain COTS security products such as firewalls, anti-virus, two-factor authentication, and SIEM tools.
• Support the design and implementation of space vehicle hardening for embedded processors and flight software.
• Execute assessment procedures to verify conformance with DoD, Intelligence Community, and Special Access Program security controls.
• Perform system vulnerability scanning, remediation, and patch management on Windows and Red Hat operating systems.
• Prepare Certification To Field (CTF) assessment procedures and execute test cases for customer observation.

What we're looking for

• US Citizenship is required.
• Must have an active Top Secret security clearance with SCI at time of application.
• Minimum 2 years of Cyber/SSE experience, preferably within the defense aerospace industry.
• Experience implementing the RMF process from system categorization through continuous monitoring.
• Experience designing systems/networks to use, or hands-on experience with industry platform hardening practices, such as DISA STIG implementation.
• Experience designing systems/networks to use, or scanning, remediating, and reporting vulnerabilities using tools like ACAS or Tenable NESSUS.
• Experience with real-time operating systems, secure coding best practices, or other mission-critical operational systems.
• BS degree in engineering (Electrical or Software Engineering preferred) with 5 years of experience, or 3 years with a Masters (preferred).
