Cybersecurity Analyst / Principal Cybersecurity Analyst

What you'll do

• Serve as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for the National Air and Space Intelligence Center.
• Manage software and information system certifications and approvals.
• Coordinate incident response efforts to mitigate security threats.
• Deliver cybersecurity training to the workforce.
• Maintain and update content for cybersecurity websites.
• Implement and manage information security programs and controls.
• Perform risk assessments using frameworks like the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• Secure operating systems, databases, and network devices.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with at least 2 years of related experience.
• Master's degree in a STEM discipline with related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with at least 5 years of related experience (for Principal level).
• Master's degree in a STEM discipline with at least 3 years of related experience (for Principal level).
• Active Department of Defense Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance.
• IAT Level II certification such as SecurityX (formerly CASP+) or Security+.
• Knowledge in securing operating systems, databases, and network devices.
• Understanding of security technologies such as IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and antivirus solutions.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Familiarity with DoD systems and compliance requirements (preferred).
• Understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, routing, and switching (preferred).
• Experience with tools such as Nessus, McAfee, Ivanti HEAT, Tanium, Solarwinds, and Splunk (preferred).
