Cybersecurity Analyst/Principal Cybersecurity Analyst (AHT) serves as an Information System Security Officer within a team supporting the National Air and Space Intelligence Center. Serve as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for NASIC operations.
Manage software and information system certifications and approvals.
Coordinate incident response activities across the organization.
Deliver workforce cybersecurity training to personnel.
Maintain and update content on internal cybersecurity websites.
Implement and manage information security programs and controls based on NIST frameworks.
Perform risk assessments and vulnerability mitigation for systems and databases.
Monitor and manage security tools including IDS/IPS, SIEM, and vulnerability scanners.
What we're looking for
Active Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance.
IAT Level II certification such as SecurityX (formerly CASP+) or Security+.
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with related experience, or a Master's degree in a STEM field with experience.
For Principal level: Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 5 years experience, or a Master's degree in a STEM field with 3 years experience.
Knowledge of securing operating systems, databases, and network devices.
Understanding of security technologies including IDS/IPS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and antivirus solutions.
Familiarity with DoD systems and compliance requirements (preferred).
Understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, routing, and switching; experience with tools like Nessus, McAfee, Ivanti HEAT, Tanium, Solarwinds, or Splunk (preferred).
