Critical Environments Operating Engineer The Critical Environments Operating Engineer supports a highly secure, mission-critical financial services environment and a disaster recovery data center. This role is responsible for maintaining 100% uptime through the operation, maintenance, and repair of essential building systems while managing vendor activities and providing shift coverage. The successful candidate will perform preventive and reactive maintenance on critical infrastructure including chillers, pumps, cooling towers, VFDs, AHUs, CRACs, CRCUs, UPSs, PDUs, batteries, generators, fuel storage, switchgear, utility feeds, transfer switches, process piping, fire detection, suppression, BAS, and leak detection systems. The role requires technical expertise in electrical, HVAC, or central utility plant operations to manage complex mechanical and electrical equipment. Candidates must be proficient with BAS and CMMS systems while navigating the specific challenges of maintaining high-availability infrastructure within a data center environment.
