You will collaborate with engineering groups and landlord partners while providing mentorship and sharing best practices across the global portfolio. The ideal candidate possesses experience in critical environment infrastructures such as UPS, generators, and AHUs, alongside technical knowledge of IT infrastructure including servers, SANs, and networking to ensure seamless service delivery for cloud-based products.

What you'll do

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in leased datacenters.
  • Maximize Critical Environment availability and operational efficiency in coordination with landlord partners.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes to identify and mitigate infrastructure issues.
  • Execute cost and energy efficiency initiatives to optimize datacenter performance.
  • Manage emergency preparedness, response plans, and serve as an escalation point for facilities issues.
  • Coordinate and supervise critical environment audits and compliance verifications.
  • Monitor and report on power, temperature, and humidity levels to ensure SLA compliance.
  • Develop and share best practices with regional and global peers across the datacenter portfolio.

What we're looking for

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of experience in a datacenter or critical environment facility.
  • Or 3+ years of industry experience combined with college coursework.
  • Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check every two years.
  • Must provide verification of citizenship via a valid passport for government agency support.
  • Ability to pass a criminal justice information services (CJIS) background check.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree or Technical College certification in mechanical or electrical engineering and/or services.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of experience in Critical Environment infrastructures such as UPS, Generator, and AHU.
  • Preferred: Experience with large scale CE projects, IT infrastructure operations, and working with lease providers.
