The Creative Technologist joins the Frontier Marketing organization to bridge the gap between design and engineering by transforming creative concepts into interactive product experiences. This role involves building high-fidelity demonstrations, functional prototypes, and user interface systems that bring commercial products to life across social, web, and event channels. You will translate ambiguous ideas into functional prototypes, ensuring technical feasibility and product accuracy while integrating emerging technologies like AI-powered tools, real-time engines, and code-driven animation. Key technical requirements include proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, WebGL/Three.js, Unity, or Unreal Engine. You will collaborate with motion designers and engineers to establish reusable patterns and storytelling solutions, solving the challenge of creating visually refined, secure, and production-ready content for complex enterprise and productivity technology products.
Build high-fidelity demonstrations and functional prototypes that accurately reflect Microsoft product behavior.
Deliver film-ready and deployment-ready experiences for social content, web interactions, and keynote demonstrations.
Translate ambiguous creative concepts into functional prototypes to accelerate learning and align stakeholders.
Partner with engineering and product teams to ensure technical feasibility and product accuracy during development.
Integrate emerging technologies like AI tools, real-time engines, and APIs to create new storytelling formats.
Scale storytelling solutions by establishing reusable patterns and maintaining shared prototype and tooling libraries.
Shape cohesive end-to-end experiences with motion designers and creative directors to ensure high visual craft.
What we're looking for
Master's Degree in a relevant field and 3+ years of experience in product/service design or shipping production code.
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and 4+ years of experience in product/service design or shipping production code.
Equivalent experience to the degree and years of experience requirements.
Proficiency in creative development and prototyping technologies like JavaScript, TypeScript, React, WebGL/Three.js, Unity, or Unreal Engine (preferred).
A portfolio demonstrating strong visual and interaction craft, including composition, typography, motion, and production-ready execution (preferred).
Experience building product demonstrations or interactive storytelling for enterprise, productivity, or technology products (preferred).
Familiarity with generative AI, foundation models, agentic workflows, or machine-learning-powered creative tooling (preferred).
Experience with real-time rendering, code-driven animation, or technical storytelling for film, social, web, or event production (preferred).
