Cost Engineer VI

What you'll do

• Lead should-cost modeling and DFC/DFM cost analysis for complex semiconductor components and assemblies.
• Perform technical analyses including teardown reviews, manufacturing process evaluations, and cost validations.
• Develop robust cost models and serve as a technical authority for complex or ambiguous costing challenges.
• Manage cost engineering initiatives for NPI programs from the concept phase through production ramp.
• Align Engineering, Supply Chain, and suppliers on design trade-offs and feasible manufacturing strategies.
• Validate supplier cost structures and develop negotiation strategies in partnership with sourcing teams.
• Establish best practices by creating reusable models, cost libraries, and commodity insights.
• Present technical findings and recommendations to peer and executive leadership levels.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (15 years experience required).
• Master's degree with 12 years of experience or Ph.D. with 8 years of experience.
• Equivalent years of experience in a similar role without a degree.
• At least 8 years of experience in cost engineering, should costing, manufacturing, product engineering, or supply chain engineering.
• Strong understanding of at least two manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal, plastics, casting, or ceramics.
• Experience with technical drawing comprehension and working directly with engineering teams on product design.
• Supplier-facing experience including RFQ support, cost validation, and negotiation.
• Master's degree.
