What you'll do

Manage the end-to-end commissioning process for multi-million-dollar data center construction projects in the Chicago metro area.
Conduct on-site inspections to review Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), and active testing processes.
Develop and maintain commissioning procedures, standards, and best practices to ensure cost-effective solutions.
Manage contracted Commissioning Agents and provide performance oversight based on established scorecards.
Track and report project progress regarding scope, schedule, and budget to senior management.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, and construction managers to align on project requirements and delivery strategies.
Prepare Requests for Proposal (RFPs), expenditure reports, and other necessary project approval tools.
Develop long-term commissioning strategies that align with the corporate roadmap and infrastructure goals.

What we're looking for

A Doctorate in Mechanical, Materials, Reliability, or Electrical Engineering and 2+ years of technical engineering experience.
A Master's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Reliability, or Electrical Engineering and 4+ years of technical engineering experience.
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Reliability, or Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of technical engineering experience.
At least 12 years of relevant technical engineering experience.
Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check.
Capability to perform work in the field on a construction project.
Construction Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) experience (preferred).
OSHA 30, NFPA-70E, or PMP certifications (preferred).
