Cloud Solutions Architect - Azure Data & AI Solutions joins the Customer & Commercial Success Architect’s Office to drive the adoption of Databricks solutions on the Microsoft platform. In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers and partners, leading architecture reviews, technical strategy discussions, and production deployments for data, analytics, and AI modernization. You will resolve technical blockers, design enterprise-scale architectures, and develop reusable intellectual property to accelerate cloud transformation. The position requires deep expertise in Databricks, Azure Data Services, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Machine Learning. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges regarding security, governance, and scalability while helping customers realize business value from their investments in data engineering, machine learning, and generative AI workloads within the cloud ecosystem.
Serve as a technical advisor to help customers and partners realize business value from Databricks and Azure investments.
Lead architecture reviews, technical strategy discussions, and proof of concept deployments for data, analytics, and AI solutions.
Identify and resolve technical blockers that impact deployment, scalability, and customer success outcomes.
Design and optimize enterprise-scale architectures using Databricks, Azure Data Services, and AI technologies.
Develop reusable intellectual property, reference architectures, and technical guidance to improve solution scalability.
Guide customers in implementing best practices for security, governance, reliability, and operational excellence.
Collaborate with internal engineering and product teams to share customer insights and influence product roadmaps.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting, systems administration, network operations, software development, or architecture.
Expertise in Databricks and modern Data & AI platforms including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Machine Learning.
Experience designing and deploying enterprise-scale Azure solutions for data engineering, analytics, and Generative AI workloads.
Proficiency in cloud architecture principles including security, governance, reliability, scalability, and performance optimization.
Ability to pass a Microsoft Cloud Background Check and meet applicable government security screening requirements.
Preferred certifications include Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional or Microsoft Certified: Azure Databricks Data Engineer Associate (DP-750).
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage executive stakeholders and lead cross-functional technical teams.
