Cloud Solution Architect - Application Modernization (App Mod) joins the Customer & Commercial Success team to drive infrastructure and application migrations via the Cloud Acceleration Factory. This hands-on role involves designing, building, and managing production-ready solutions while serving as a strategic advisor to customers and executive stakeholders. You will manage project lifecycles, resolve technical blockers, and develop scalable assets to accelerate customer success. The role requires expertise in Azure infrastructure, .NET or Java, containers, Kubernetes, microservices, REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices. Key tools include Azure App Service, AKS, Azure Container Apps, API Management, GitHub Copilot, and Infrastructure as Code using Bicep or Terraform. You will solve complex migration challenges by transforming legacy workloads into secure, scalable cloud environments while integrating AI-enabled features to drive measurable business impact for enterprise clients.
Design and implement Azure infrastructure and application migration solutions tailored to customer business needs.
Provide technical guidance and hands-on support for complex migrations within the Cloud Acceleration Factory.
Act as a strategic advisor to executive stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical roadmaps.
Resolve technical blockers by debugging issues and providing fixes for customers facing deployment hurdles.
Develop and contribute reusable intellectual property and assets to accelerate customer value and deployment speed.
Lead proofs of concept (POCs) and minimum viable products (MVPs) to ensure long-term technical viability.
Advocate for customer needs by providing feedback to product teams to influence roadmap and feature prioritization.
Educate customers on AI platforms, including GitHub Copilot and Azure AI services.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, application modernization, IT consulting, systems administration, or software development.
2+ years of experience in customer-facing roles and technical projects.
Experience modernizing enterprise applications on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
Proficiency in .NET, Java, Containers, Kubernetes, Microservices, REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
Expertise with Azure App Service, AKS, Azure Container Apps, API Management, and Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, Terraform).
Experience with GitHub Copilot, AI-assisted development, and enterprise-scale transformation programs.
Relevant certifications such as AZ-305, AZ-204, AZ-400, or other technical cloud and security certifications.
