Circuit Design Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and characterize standard cell libraries using deep submicron technologies.
• Drive transistor-level circuit design, modeling, and performance analysis processes.
• Develop and maintain internal tools and workflows using Perl and Python scripts.
• Perform timing, power, noise, and OCV evaluations through new simulation methods.
• Validate data and improve quality checks for library work.
• Generate Liberty models for use in digital implementation and signoff flows.
• Run SPICE simulations to evaluate circuit performance and behavior.

What we're looking for

• Must have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Must have a background in deep submicron process issues.
• Must understand the design, verification, and characterization of standard cell libraries.
• Must be able to generate timing, power, noise, and OCV views of standard cells.
• Must be familiar with Liberty models and their application to digital implementation and signoff flows.
• Must have experience running SPICE simulations and the ability to adapt to new simulation tools.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Tcl, Make, and automation methods is a plus.
• Prior experience in standard cell library or IP characterization is a plus.
