As a CAD Electromagnetic RFIC Simulation Engineer, you will join the CAD organization to shape next-generation electromagnetic analysis methodologies for advanced RFIC and multi-die designs. You will apply first-principles understanding of Maxwell’s equations and field theory to develop and validate EM simulation flows using Finite Element and Method of Moments techniques. Your daily responsibilities include maintaining state-of-the-art 3D solvers, streamlining and automating SOC EM analysis CAD flows, and collaborating with design groups on requirements for post-layout flows. You will work with EDA vendors and foundries to qualify, debug, and enhance tools. The role requires proficiency in Tcl, Python, or Perl scripting, along with experience in extraction, timing, noise, and physical design. You will address complex problems involving package structures, S-parameter extraction, signal integrity, coupling, and shielding performance across advanced packaging and 3DIC systems.
