TL;DR · Business Program Manager, Organic Capacity Demand

The Business Program Manager - Organic Capacity Demand joins the Capacity Shared Services team within MCAPS-Core to manage both AI and non-AI capacity as a unified business. This hands-on role involves building and scaling programs that integrate capacity planning into Azure commitments, renewals, and strategic pursuit motions. You will translate complex technical requirements into field-ready guidance, playbooks, and training materials while coordinating across sales, finance, customer success, and engineering teams to manage demand-driven intake and reporting. Key responsibilities include designing customer delivery offerings, establishing governance models, and driving change management to improve planning quality. The role requires proficiency in project management, data analysis using scorecards and dashboards, and the use of Microsoft Copilot or AI agents to automate reporting and accelerate program design within a complex cloud infrastructure environment.

What you'll do

  • Create and improve scalable program frameworks that integrate capacity planning into Azure commitments and strategic pursuit motions.
  • Establish governance models, planning milestones, and decision-making processes to ensure consistent execution across teams.
  • Translate complex technical requirements into field-ready playbooks, training materials, and guidance for account teams.
  • Design and launch capacity-focused customer delivery offerings including engagement models and intake processes.
  • Embed capacity planning into standard business cycles like pipeline reviews, consumption planning, and post-signature execution.
  • Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify trends and improve program effectiveness.
  • Utilize Microsoft Copilot and AI agents to automate reporting, generate guidance, and streamline program design.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field and 4+ years of experience in program management, process management, or process improvement.
  • Experience creating, launching, or improving cross-functional business programs, field programs, customer-success motions, or operational processes (preferred).
  • Ability to convert complex business or technical requirements into practical guidance, workflows, templates, and enablement plans (preferred).
  • Experience coordinating stakeholders across sales, success, operations, engineering, or product teams without direct authority (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Azure or cloud business processes, including consumption planning, demand planning, or capacity management (preferred).
  • Strong project management skills including workback planning, dependency tracking, risk management, and stakeholder communications (preferred).
  • Analytical skills using operational data, dashboards, or scorecards to identify gaps and measure program performance (preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to create concise content for business and technical audiences (preferred).
