The Backend Applications Support Administrator 3/4 joins the CIDO Classified Solutions team to support information system lifecycle activities. This role involves performing backend administration for major enterprise and cyber applications, including Microsoft Exchange, Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, and the Atlassian stack. The administrator will manage SQL-based databases like MS SQL Server, Oracle, and Postgres, while overseeing FLEXlm license servers. Key responsibilities include server configuration for Windows and Linux, application deployment, performance tuning, and troubleshooting complex connectivity or authentication failures. The position requires maintaining backend security controls, implementing STIGs, and coordinating with cyber teams to align with NISPOM, RMF, and JSIG requirements. Technical skills include managing Trellix, Nessus, and Splunk tools, as well as integrating Active Directory, DNS, and PKI components within a secure environment.
Administer backend services for enterprise applications including Microsoft Exchange, Teams, and the Atlassian stack.
Manage SQL-based databases and FLEXlm/FlexNet license servers for application support.
Configure, patch, and maintain Windows and Linux servers for application deployment and high availability.
Troubleshoot complex service outages, connectivity failures, and integration issues between databases and cyber tools.
Implement backend security controls and support STIG hardening in alignment with RMF and NISPOM requirements.
Monitor application health and cyber-tool pipelines using Splunk, Trellix, and Nessus.
Maintain technical documentation for backend architecture, configuration, and operating procedures.
Execute changes through formal configuration management processes and provide after-hours support as needed.
What we're looking for
Must have a current US Government Secret level security clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Programs.
Must have a Security+ certification or greater.
Must have U.S. Citizenship.
Must have hands-on administration experience with at least two of the following: Microsoft Exchange, Teams, Atlassian stack, SQL databases, FLEXlm, or cyber tools like Trellix, Nessus, or Splunk.
Must have experience administering applications on Windows and/or Linux/UNIX servers.
Must have experience with Active Directory, DNS, PKI certificates, and basic networking concepts.
Must have experience with server/client software installation, configuration, and patching in an enterprise environment.
Master's Degree with 3 years experience; Bachelor's with 5 years; Associate's with 7 years; or High School Diploma with 9 years (Level 3).
Master's Degree with 6 years experience; Bachelor's with 8 years; Associate's with 10 years; or High School Diploma with 12 years (Level 4).
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field (preferred).
Active Top Secret, TS/SCI, SAP/SAR access, or Polygraph (preferred).
Experience working under NISPOM, RMF, JSIG, or STIGs (preferred).
Scripting/automation experience in PowerShell, Python, or Bash (preferred).
Experience with MECM/SCCM or other enterprise software distribution tools (preferred).
