The HPC Linux Systems Administrator 3/4 joins the Classified Solutions team to support information system lifecycle activities for a medium to large sized classified program. This role involves maintaining multi-user computer systems, managing Linux workstations and servers, and ensuring smooth operations through coordination with network and software engineers. Key responsibilities include installing, patching, and monitoring systems, managing file systems, disk space, and backup services, and maintaining security audit logs in a classified environment. The position requires expertise in Linux operating systems, HPC technologies, storage, parallel processing, and scientific computing frameworks. Candidates must possess a Secret security clearance and Security+ CE certification. The work focuses on providing secure technological solutions and system enhancements to improve performance and reliability within a high-security, networked infrastructure.
Perform Linux systems administration for a medium to large sized classified program.
Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems and coordinate with network and software engineers.
Implement system enhancements including installing, patching, monitoring, and configuration management to improve reliability.
Administer backup and recovery services, manage file systems, and maintain virus protection.
Create and maintain user accounts, modify file permissions, and manage security access lists.
Maintain security audit logs and prepare documentation for the Information Systems Security Manager.
Test new product releases to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.
Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed.
What we're looking for
Must have a current US Government Secret security clearance.
Must have the ability to obtain access to Special Programs as a condition of employment.
Must have Linux Operating Systems support experience.
Must have Linux Workstation and Server management experience.
Must have an Associate's degree and 7 years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience, or a Master’s degree and 3 years of experience.
Must have a High School diploma and 9 years of related experience as an alternative to a degree.
Must have Security+ CE certification or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire.
U.S. Citizenship is required for positions requiring a government clearance.
