What you'll do

Develop high-quality code that meets non-functional requirements and adheres to established coding standards.
Design and build scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS cloud technologies.
Implement test-driven development, automated testing, and continuous integration practices.
Conduct peer reviews to evaluate code quality, identify defects, and provide actionable feedback.
Drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering tools for coding, refactoring, and troubleshooting.
Mentor junior developers through technical guidance, knowledge-sharing sessions, and work reviews.
Troubleshoot production issues and implement performance tuning measures to optimize system behavior.
Manage end-to-end product design during the migration and modernization of technology systems.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on experience coding in one or more programming languages, specifically Java.
Experience designing and implementing applications using Spring Boot.
Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud technologies including S3, EC2, and EMR.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools while ensuring security and performance.
Solid understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.
