As a Full Stack Lead Software Engineer Java AWS within the Auto Originations team, you will serve as a core technical contributor in an agile environment. You must also leverage tools like Aurora PostgreSQL, Splunk, and Grafana. This role focuses on building stable, scalable technology products and automating remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.

What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring software code meets all design constraints.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software systems.
Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing across the team.
Lead communities of practice to promote the use of leading-edge technologies within the software engineering organization.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Strong Java development expertise including Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate, JMS, and RESTful API design.
Experience deploying and monitoring applications on AWS Cloud including S3, Lambdas, Security, and IAM.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Strong background in designing complex applications and documenting architecture artifacts like diagrams and decision records.
Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods, and all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching engineers on responsible AI use.
Proficiency in Aurora PostgreSQL, Splunk, and Grafana (preferred); AWS Developer or Architect Certifications (preferred).
