AVP SQL Server Database Administrator

What you'll do

• Install, configure, and maintain high-availability enterprise database systems for corporate applications.
• Monitor backup jobs and perform routine disaster recovery scenarios across all enterprise databases.
• Provide on-call production support for financial applications during nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Optimize physical data storage and improve the performance of stored procedures and execution times.
• Manage database security, including performing transaction audits and establishing user access controls.
• Develop and maintain change control, testing processes, and internal technical documentation.
• Create and manage database schema definitions and modifications as required by business needs.
• Coordinate data refreshes between environments and generate reports for business users.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or engineering, or 5 years of equivalent experience in SQL Server administration and development.
• 7+ years of direct experience managing and supporting Microsoft SQL Server versions from 2000 to 2025.
• 7+ years of experience in Database Performance, Tuning, and Optimization (PTO).
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with database security, auditing, backup/restore, disaster recovery, and high availability.
• 7+ years of experience with DTS and SSIS Packages.
• Strong technical documentation skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas in user-friendly language.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes, incident management, and data privacy laws.
• Experience with T-SQL, PowerShell, Solarwinds Monitoring, or DPA (Ignite) is preferred.
