Database Administrator

What you'll do

• Manage the enterprise data dictionary and establish infrastructure standards for databases.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and leadership to database programming and design teams.
• Perform performance tuning, installation, and management of database systems.
• Develop, test, and implement system changes, upgrades, and disaster recovery processes.
• Create detailed documentation including charts, diagrams, schemas, and software component descriptions.
• Forecast future utilization and equipment requirements while reporting on system problems and solutions.
• Collaborate with hardware and software vendors to assess advanced transaction processing and database productions.
• Identify areas where existing policies require updates to support business expansion and compliance.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of database administration experience in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL.
• Knowledge of business and management principles.
• Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
• Ability to establish department goals and objectives that support the strategic plan.
• Ability to effectively plan, delegate, and supervise the work of others.
• Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others.
