Associate Supply Chain Specialist - SAP Materials Management & Sales and Distribution – 2027 is a role within the IBM Consulting FutureNow Centers team. In this position, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to help clients modernize business processes and solve real-world operational challenges. You will work on projects involving procurement, materials management, inventory, customer orders, fulfillment, logistics, and distribution. The role involves analyzing business requirements, performing SAP configuration, testing, data validation, and documentation while utilizing Artificial Intelligence, automation, and analytics to improve supply chain performance. Key technical areas include SAP Materials Management (MM) and Sales and Distribution (SD). You will leverage your knowledge of supply chain concepts, business analysis, and enterprise technology to translate complex requirements into functional solutions across various industries including manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and the public sector.
Support SAP solutions for procurement, inventory management, sales, fulfillment, and logistics.
Translate business requirements into SAP-enabled process and technology solutions.
Participate in SAP configuration, testing, data validation, and solution implementation activities.
Analyze supply chain and operational data to identify trends and support decision-making.
Execute process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and visibility for clients.
Identify client challenges by collaborating with business and technology teams.
What we're looking for
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, MIS, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Must possess a foundational understanding of supply chain concepts such as procurement, inventory, logistics, and business operations.
Must be able to analyze information, identify problems, evaluate business processes, and develop structured solutions.
Must have exposure to supply chain, data analysis, enterprise technology, or process improvement through coursework, internships, or projects.
Must be able to collaborate effectively and communicate ideas to both business and technical audiences.
Must demonstrate an interest in developing expertise in SAP, automation, analytics, and digital transformation.
Familiarity with ERP systems, SAP, business analytics, data visualization, or process mapping (preferred).
Interest in SAP Materials Management (MM) or SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) (preferred).
