Associate BIT Field Engineer

What you'll do

• Operate satellite trucks and portable equipment to provide multi-path transmissions for remote broadcast locations.
• Perform 24/7 technical support including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of streaming, audio, and video equipment.
• Maintain on-board systems such as cameras, switchers, routers, encoders, and specialized transmission gear.
• Coordinate technical installations with external vendors and internal production teams.
• Document system anomalies, operational procedures, and project work using AutoCAD and ITSM ticketing tools.
• Manage inventory of parts and technology supplies in coordination with procurement and asset management teams.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting equipment over 50 pounds and climbing ladders for installation.

What we're looking for

• Must possess a 2 or 4 year technical degree in electronics, computer engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Must obtain a CDL Class B License.
• Requires at least one year of experience in television, multimedia content, IT client service, or broadcast maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair broadcast and computer equipment at the board level.
• Familiarity with basic server, networking topology, and operating systems like Windows or Unix.
• Ability to operate satellite trucks and various transmission equipment including microwave and streaming gear.
• Proficiency in using AutoCAD for system documentation and ITSM ticketing tools for incident logging.
• Physical ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders for equipment installation.
