Artificial Intelligence Research, Senior Associate

What you'll do

• Develop novel techniques, tools, and frameworks to solve complex large-scale problems in the bank.
• Formulate research problems, generate hypotheses, and develop new algorithms and models.
• Conduct experiments and rigorous evaluations to synthesize and communicate research results.
• Deliver well-tested, high-quality, and modular Python code for production-scale delivery.
• Execute commercially oriented research projects in collaboration with internal data scientists and engineering teams.
• Contribute to high-impact business applications, reusable assets, and products.
• Provide thought leadership through white papers, publications, and presentations.

What we're looking for

• PhD or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with relevant AI/ML research experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in AI/ML.
• Research publications in top-tier AI/ML venues such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ICAPS, or CRYPTO.
• Ability to deliver modular, optimized, high-quality Python code with tests.
• Deep understanding of fundamental AI/ML techniques and the current state of the art in specific areas of expertise.
• Practical experience with statistical data analysis, experimental design, and creating meaningful benchmarks and metrics.
• Strong track record of research in areas like synthetic data, hybrid agent architectures, multimodal discovery, foundation model training, or reinforcement learning.
• Practical experience with ML libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow), agent frameworks, or formal verification tools (preferred).
