Artificial Intelligence Research Lead - Vice President

What you'll do

• Develop novel AI techniques, tools, and frameworks to solve complex large-scale problems for the bank.
• Formulate research problems, generate hypotheses, and develop new algorithms and models.
• Conduct experiments and rigorous evaluations to synthesize and communicate research results.
• Deliver well-tested, high-quality, and modular Python code for production-scale deployment.
• Lead major workstreams to ensure technical solutions are sound and meet business requirements.
• Propose new research initiatives motivated by long-term business needs and commercial goals.
• Provide thought leadership through white papers, publications, and presentations in internal and external forums.
• Translate research into real-world impact such as prototypes, reusable components, and reference architectures.

What we're looking for

• PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in AI/ML.
• Research publications in top-tier AI/ML venues such as NeurIPS, ICML, or ICLR.
• Deep understanding of fundamental AI/ML techniques and practical experience with statistical data analysis and experimental design.
• Practical software development experience in collaborative settings with the ability to deliver modular, optimized Python code.
• Experience leading and mentoring AI researchers and partnering with engineering and business stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to translate research into production-ready solutions, prototypes, or reusable components.
• Strong research track record in synthetic data generation, multimodal information discovery, or multimodal processing and predictive modeling.
• Practical experience with ML libraries like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or HuggingFace Transformers (preferred).
• Practical experience with agent frameworks or common formal verification tools and languages (preferred).
