Artificial Intelligence Research Lead Vice President

What you'll do

• Develop novel AI techniques, tools, and frameworks to solve complex large-scale problems in financial services.
• Formulate research problems, generate hypotheses, and develop new algorithms and models for commercial applications.
• Conduct experiments and rigorous evaluations to deliver well-tested, high-quality code for production-scale delivery.
• Lead major workstreams and ensure that technical solutions are sound, generalizable, and meet business requirements.
• Proactively identify and propose new research initiatives motivated by long-term business needs.
• Provide thought leadership through white papers, publications, and presentations in internal and external forums.
• Translate research into real-world impact including production-ready solutions, prototypes, and reusable components.
• Mentor AI researchers and partner with engineering and business stakeholders to drive strategic planning.

What we're looking for

• PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in AI/ML.
• Research publications in top-tier AI/ML venues such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ICAPS, or CRYPTO.
• Deep understanding of fundamental AI/ML techniques and state-of-the-art research in specific areas of expertise.
• Practical software development experience delivering modular, optimized, and high-quality Python code with tests.
• Experience leading and mentoring AI researchers while partnering with engineering and business stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to translate research into real-world impact such as production-ready solutions or prototypes.
• Strong track record in specific areas including synthetic data generation, multimodal information discovery, or multimodal processing.
