Artificial Intelligence Research Director, Executive Director

What you'll do

• Develop novel AI techniques, tools, and frameworks to solve complex large-scale problems in financial services.
• Formulate research problems, generate hypotheses, and develop new algorithms and models for commercial applications.
• Conduct experiments and rigorous evaluations while delivering well-tested, high-quality Python code.
• Translate research into production-ready solutions, prototypes, and reusable components for business impact.
• Own a portfolio of capabilities by driving strategic directions and prioritizing research initiatives.
• Provide thought leadership through white papers, publications, and presentations in internal and external forums.
• Lead and mentor AI researchers while partnering with engineering and business stakeholders to drive execution.
• Build and deploy multi-agent solutions using frameworks like LangGraph or Google ADK.

What we're looking for

• PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of relevant work experience in AI/ML.
• Research publications in top-tier AI/ML venues such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ICAPS, or CRYPTO.
• Deep understanding of fundamental AI/ML techniques and current state-of-the-art research.
• Experience leading and mentoring AI researchers while partnering with engineering and business stakeholders.
• Ability to deliver modular, optimized, and high-quality Python code in collaborative settings.
• Demonstrated ability to translate research into production-ready solutions, prototypes, or reusable components.
• Expertise in multi-agent systems and reinforcement learning including coordination, negotiation, and mechanism design.
