What you'll do

  • Manage one or more Applications Development teams to accomplish established goals and project milestones.
  • Conduct personnel duties including hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions for team members.
  • Provide technical oversight across multiple systems and applications using in-depth development knowledge.
  • Review and analyze proposed technical solutions and contribute to application development strategies.
  • Monitor delivery of end results and manage project budgets and resource allocations.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies while managing and reporting control issues.
  • Prepare software design artifacts including architecture diagrams, flowcharts, and sequence diagrams.
  • Oversee the use of AI tools and modern frameworks like Spring Boot, Java 17+, and Angular.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Master’s degree (preferred).
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in the Financial Services industry.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems design roles.
  • 8+ years of expertise in Java 17+, Spring, Spring Boot Microservices, Hibernate, and Oracle PL SQL.
  • Experience as an Applications Development Manager and in a senior-level Applications Development role.
  • Practical knowledge in using AI Tools for Design and Development (Copilot, Claude, Devin, etc.).
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Angular 16+ (preferred), and MongoDB (desired).
