What you'll do

Manage and lead one or more Applications Development teams including hiring, performance evaluations, and daily staff management.
Provide technical oversight across various systems and applications using in-depth knowledge of development areas.
Review and analyze proposed technical solutions for projects to ensure they meet business requirements.
Formulate strategies for application development and other related functional areas.
Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and the monitoring of delivery results.
Define and enforce standard procedures while negotiating with external parties when necessary.
Assess risks and ensure all business decisions comply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Oversee the creation of software design artifacts including architecture, flowcharts, and sequence diagrams.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; Master's degree preferred.
6-10 years of relevant experience in the Financial Service industry.
8+ years of experience in applications development, systems design, or as an Applications Development Manager.
Expertise in backend technologies including Spring, Spring Boot Microservices, Java 17+, and Hibernate.
Proficiency in frontend technologies including JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Angular 16+.
Experience with Git source control, Oracle PL/SQL, and MongoDB.
Practical knowledge of AI tools for design and development such as Copilot, Claude, or Devin.
Demonstrated leadership, project management, and stakeholder management skills in an Agile environment using JIRA.
