The AppleCare Data Privacy Project Manager serves as the critical bridge between AppleCare business operations, Data Privacy, and Legal teams to ensure customer trust and data protection across systems and processes. You will manage the full project lifecycle for technical and operational initiatives, including conducting Privacy Impact Assessments, Legitimate Interest Assessments, Secondary Use requests, and Records of Processing. The role involves navigating complex system dependencies, managing Radar tracking systems, and coordinating responses to regulatory inquiries or audit findings. To succeed, you must possess strong project management skills, technical acumen, and a deep understanding of legal frameworks and data protection principles. You will utilize tools like SAP, GSX, iLog, and CAS while collaborating with cross-functional partners to maintain compliance with global privacy laws and internal policies across a diverse, global landscape of systems and workflows.
Act as the primary liaison between business operations, Data Privacy, and Legal teams to ensure compliant project execution.
Manage the filing of Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs), and Records of Processing (ROPs).
Drive data privacy activities to maintain compliance with global regulations and internal policies.
Coordinate technical and operational changes resulting from regulatory investigations or internal audit findings.
Support Legal teams in investigating and preparing responses to regulatory inquiries.
Manage critical privacy issues by performing root-cause analyses and developing mitigation plans.
Maintain a centralized repository and tracking systems for all AppleCare tools and processes.
Lead the full project lifecycle from inception through implementation and post-launch review.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree or equivalent privacy/compliance work experience.
3+ years of relevant experience.
Good understanding of legal frameworks, data protection principles, and legislative processes.
Proven project management experience with practical knowledge of methodologies, frameworks, techniques, and tools.
Demonstrated track record of leading large-scale, global, and cross-functional projects under strict timelines.
Strong technical acumen to understand technical issues and navigate complex systems landscapes.
Fluency in English (written and verbal).
Dedicated background in Data Privacy, Regulatory Compliance, or Information Governance (preferred); Project Management or Data Privacy certifications (preferred); experience with enterprise applications like SAP or Radar (preferred).
