The Engineering Program Manager, Data Privacy and Compliance, Apple Services Engineering joins the Apple Services Engineering team to drive critical compliance initiatives across diverse lines of business. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement programs for internal stakeholders, lead large-scale compliance programs, establish multi-year roadmaps, and develop monitoring and reporting mechanisms. Key responsibilities include building scalable infrastructure and tools to help development teams ingest, store, process, transform, and analyze data while remaining compliant with international laws. The role requires expertise in data compliance, data governance, software development life cycle methodologies, and big data. You will also utilize skills in project management, problem-solving, and communication to advocate for platform adoption and foster cross-functional relationships across the organization.

What you'll do

Identify high-impact opportunities to improve the organization's data privacy and compliance posture.
Define, establish, and continuously improve scalable program frameworks and reporting mechanisms.
Develop and execute a multi-year roadmap for compliant infrastructure and tools in partnership with legal teams.
Enable engineering teams to ingest, store, and process data while adhering to international laws.
Promote the adoption of internal platforms and tools across the organization.
Facilitate communication between divisions to ensure a unified approach to compliance goals.
Identify and remove obstacles to project progress through proactive management of deliverables.

What we're looking for

At least 5 years of experience in data compliance and/or data governance.
At least 10 years of experience in the software development industry and/or big data.
Strong understanding of and experience with data laws and concepts.
Experience in software development life cycle methodologies and managing large-scale programs.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or relevant industry experience.
Familiarity with Digital Markets Act and other competition laws is preferred.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
Strong presentation and storytelling skills to build consensus across the organization.
