What you'll do

Provide API design guidance and consulting to framework engineering teams to ensure consistent, intuitive developer experiences.
Review software programming interfaces to ensure comprehensive access to platform functionality through Apple's SDKs.
Advise engineering teams on transforming feature plans into well-architected, developer-focused APIs.
Evaluate proposals for ergonomics, consistency with guidelines, and integration with the broader developer experience.
Teach new Swift features and framework-development guidelines to internal engineering teams.
Identify missing functionality in SDKs and track recommended API additions to fill those gaps.
Update and improve published API Guidelines based on review discussions and new SDK releases.
Participate in the stewardship and evolution of Apple's software quality efforts and processes.

What we're looking for

5-10 years of experience in software development using Swift or Objective-C.
A strong understanding of software architecture and API design.
Strong written and presentation skills to communicate with engineers and senior leaders.
Proven ability to ramp up quickly on new technologies.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
Hard-working with the ability to work autonomously (preferred).
