What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and services.
  • Build and optimize data pipelines using AWS Glue and PySpark.
  • Deploy containerized applications on AWS EKS and implement microservices using API Gateway and Lambda.
  • Integrate various data stores including DynamoDB and PostgreSQL.
  • Implement messaging and streaming solutions using Kafka.
  • Write clean, testable code following Test Driven Development (TDD) principles.
  • Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform.
  • Document technical designs and processes in Confluence while managing tasks in JIRA.

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 3 years of proficiency in Python and related frameworks like Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
  • Experience with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, Glue, EKS, DynamoDB, and S3.
  • Experience with PySpark for data processing and a solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Hands-on experience with GitHub, CI/CD workflows, and Agile development processes.
  • Expertise in designing microservices, OOP concepts, and distributed systems using modern and legacy tools.
  • Strong skills in technical documentation, problem-solving, and collaborating in an Agile Scrum environment.
  • AWS Associate-level certifications or other cloud-related certifications (preferred).
  • Experience with Kong API Gateway, Kafka, Terraform, and AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot (preferred).
