Your daily tasks include reviewing floor plans, analyzing circuits, running verification suites, and resolving LVS/DRC/ERC issues while driving automation through scripting in SKILL, Perl, TCL, Shell, or Python. You will also apply AI/ML for layout optimization and data-driven insights, requiring a strong background in supervised learning, CNNs, and PyTorch. Ideal candidates have experience with deep-submicron CMOS and FinFET technologies, proficient physical verification skills, and the ability to diagnose complex layout issues.

What you'll do

  • Develop high-performance analog and mixed-signal layouts using advanced CAD tools.
  • Automate layout tasks and improve workflows with scripting and AI/ML techniques.
  • Resolve LVS/DRC/ERC issues to ensure design integrity and quality.
  • Apply AI/ML for layout optimization, verification acceleration, and data analysis.
  • Create intelligent quality metrics to reduce manual effort in the design process.

What we're looking for

  • Extensive experience in designing analog and mixed-signal layouts in deep-submicron CMOS and FinFET technologies.
  • Proficient programming skills in SKILL, Perl, TCL, Shell, Python for layout automation and data analysis.
  • Expertise in AI/ML techniques including CNNs, loss functions, backpropagation, and model development with PyTorch.
  • Proven ability to automate layout tasks, flows, and quality checks using scripting and CAD tools.
  • Strong proficiency in custom floor planning, hierarchical layout assembly, and physical integration.
  • High proficiency in interpreting DRC, ERC, LVS reports and resolving related issues.
  • Familiarity with Cadence Virtuoso features (XL, EAD, APR) and Innovus for advanced design tasks.
