AISR NOC Technician III

What you'll do

• Create and update network incident tickets using the Remedy system.
• Monitor network events and element management failures in real-time on a 24x7x365 basis.
• Analyze alarms to identify root causes, fault conditions, and impacts on the infrastructure.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot failed network elements including hardware, software, circuits, and facilities.
• Correct or replace faulty network elements and coordinate with service providers to restore services.
• Reroute circuits and normalize services due to outages, degradation, or authorized service interruptions.
• Provide timely situational awareness and technical updates to leadership and the impacted community.
• Escalate faults to Tier II, track incident tickets, and provide technical advice to peers and customers.

What we're looking for

• Must possess an active Secret security clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
• Must have a DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification, such as Security+ CE, at the start date.
• High school diploma is required.
• Must have 2-4 years of experience.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 operation.
• Experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, or performance management.
• Expertise in three or more of the following: routers, switches, crypto devices, routing, DSN/DRSN, Video Services, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, DWDM, or Optical Switching.
• General understanding of network topologies, both transport and IP.
