As a Lead Software Engineer - Java within the Corporate Data and Analytics Services team, you will join the Data Core Engineering group to advance corporate data strategy. What you'll do

Develop and maintain high-quality production code for enterprise Java services, including Spring Boot and RESTful APIs.
Build and manage core data solutions such as Corporate Data Catalog, Data Lineage, Entitlements, and Data Quality frameworks.
Drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and security protocols to ensure application resiliency.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve system stability.
Lead technical evaluations with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and tool applicability.
Mentor engineers on secure coding practices and the responsible use of AI tools in development workflows.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Strong experience building enterprise Java services using Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices at scale.
Strong data engineering foundations including SQL, NoSQL (Oracle, MongoDB), Kafka, Elasticsearch, or Gemfire.
Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, and modern data mesh or data product patterns.
Ownership of test automation and CI/CD using JUnit, Mockito, Jenkins, and Spinnaker.
Proven technical leadership in Agile teams including design ownership, code quality standards, and mentoring.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools while ensuring security and performance.
AWS, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), React JS, TypeScript, and delivery of data governance capabilities (preferred).
