AI Capacity Planner - Technical Program Manager II joins the Microsoft Cloud Planning team within the Cloud Supply Chain organization to manage hardware infrastructure for cloud and AI capabilities. This role involves balancing supply and demand constraints by collaborating with data center, engineering, and sourcing teams to optimize plans against technical constraints. The individual will create and maintain AI-related demand plans, perform pre-checks for execution, identify technical gaps, and define metrics to detect risks. Key responsibilities include managing large-scale cross-organization meetings, tracking KPIs and OKRs, and supporting S&OE transformation initiatives. Required skills include experience in technical program management, data analysis, or product development. Preferred qualifications include expertise in supply chain, inventory management, PowerBI, AI Agents, and Lean methodologies to solve complex problems regarding GPU deployment and infrastructure readiness for cloud services.
Balance supply and demand constraints through execution horizons while working cross-functionally with engineering and sourcing teams.
Create and maintain AI-related demand plans within the system.
Optimize plans by addressing technical efficiencies and hardware deployment readiness.
Identify complex technical gaps and provide solutions in coordination with product and engineering teams.
Execute changes to demand plans in response to shifting business priorities.
Define metrics and KPIs to detect risks and inform data-driven decisions.
Program manage large-scale, technical cross-organization meetings to ensure project readiness and follow-ups.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development (or equivalent).
At least 1 year of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, IT, Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or a related field (preferred).
5+ years of supply chain, inventory management, or sales operations experience, preferably in planning (preferred).
6+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development (preferred).
Experience in cloud infrastructure, data science, channel management, and end-to-end supply chain capabilities (preferred).
Lean certifications (yellow, green, or black belt) and experience with PowerBI or AI Agents (preferred).
