What you'll do

Design production lines and workstation layouts for undersea vehicles using Value Stream Mapping and line balancing.
Manage material flow systems including pull methods, Kanban, and parts presentation.
Define requirements, justify business cases, and manage the procurement of capital equipment and tooling.
Track and report on production metrics such as cycle time, throughput, capacity, and first-pass yield.
Model and simulate manufacturing operations using software like Siemens Plant/Process Simulation to test layout scenarios.
Identify and resolve production bottlenecks related to parts, staffing, and tooling across multiple departments.
Interpret technical documentation including drawings, vendor schematics, and CAD files for complex hardware.

What we're looking for

5+ years in a low-rate, high-mix manufacturing or supply-chain role building complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
Experience managing large capital budgets for specifying, sourcing, and commissioning manufacturing and test equipment.
Proven expertise in line/facility design including value stream mapping, continuous flow, and workstation design.
Deep knowledge of material-flow systems such as pull systems, Kanban, and lineside packaging.
Experience modeling operations using production simulation software like Siemens Plant or Process Simulation.
Working knowledge of MES and ERP systems, specifically Oracle or equivalent.
Ability to read technical documentation including drawings, vendor schematics, and CAD files.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
