About the Opportunity

The ERP Platform Developer plays a critical role in advancing this platform by designing, building, and maintaining integrations and custom applications that connect Workday and Ariba with internal and external systems. This position emphasizes modern integration practices using Workday Studio, Connectors, EIBs, Web Services, and Orchestrate, alongside custom app development in Workday Extend. 

In addition, the role will contribute to the early-stage transition to SAP Ariba’s Business Technology Platform (BTP), helping strengthen our Ariba integration capacity and guiding adoption of new capabilities such as Cloud Integration, API Management, Event Mesh, and Open Connectors. This is a unique opportunity to work in a mature ERP environment while also shaping the next phase of innovation and platform evolution. 

This opportunity is an in-office role that will report to a District Bank location based on candidate proximity.

What You Will Do:

• Design and maintain integrations between Workday/Ariba and external systems
• Develop and maintain custom Workday Extend applications
• Support integrations across Workday HCM, Payroll, Financials, and SAP Ariba
• Build and optimize Ariba master and transactional data integrations
• Collaborate with IT teams to deploy and monitor integrations
• Contribute to SAP Ariba BTP transition initiatives

Qualifications & Competencies:

• 3-5 years of Ariba integration development experience
• Experience utilizing Ariba REST APIs, ITK, and Configuration Management
• Expertise in web service/API technologies: WSDL, SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, XSLT
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, Groovy, etc.)
• Experience with integration design and development for Cloud-based platforms
• 3-5 years of Workday integration development experience; deep Studio experience required

As an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for organizing and driving concurrent cloud optimization and modernization initiatives for Treasury Services business lines – along with select operations and customer success projects. This position plays a key partnership role within the organization, requiring regular communication with colleagues, business stakeholders, vendors, national IT partners, and teams across the Federal Reserve System and/or the US Treasury. The Senior Manager of Engineering owns engineering and design for the FedNow platform, the first new Payments rail in 50 years. Working closely with the Architecture and Security groups, this role will be responsible for ensuring that the technical deliverables that will underpin the FedNow service are world class in terms of design, performance, and quality, and leverages the technologies and solutions that will enable FedNow to deliver instant payment settlement for the next 50 years.

What will be expected of you-

• You will lead and inspire a team of engineers responsible for:
• FedNow application design and build, including user/customer-facing web apps if needed

We are seeking a talented Database Developer to design, develop, and optimize database solutions within our cloud infrastructure. This role will focus on building robust database logic, stored procedures, and data layer components that power our enterprise applications in a modern cloud environment.

The ideal candidate will work as part of a cross-functional agile team, collaborating closely with application developers, QA engineers, DevOps specialists, Site Reliability engineers, and product owners throughout the software delivery lifecycle. You will participate in all agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.

Essential Responsibilities

• Design and implement database logic, stored procedures, functions, and triggers in cloud-based database platforms.
• Design and implement database structures via DDL such as tables, indices, partitions, constraints.
• Develop data access layers and optimize query performance for scalability
• Collaborate with application developers to ensure seamless integration between database and application layers.
• Partner with DevOps teams to implement database CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Work with QA engineers to develop testing strategies for database components and setting up test data.
• Analyze, plan, and execute data migrations as needed to support business objectives.
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Review code and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in development and production environments with an emphasis on performance tuning and optimization.

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep understanding of relational database design concepts.
• Strong Oracle and PostgreSQL development skills: solid SQL and PL/SQL coding techniques; ability to create and maintain tables, constraints, triggers, views, stored procedures and functions, packages, and types; solid understanding of SQL tuning practices and indexing and partitioning strategies.
• Experience as an application or operational DBA and/or knowledge of Oracle and PostgreSQL database architecture.
• Experience with cloud data management and infrastructure, including the ability to provision, configure, and maintain necessary data infrastructure though pipelines and infrastructure as code.
• Working knowledge and practical experience with backing up and restoring databases.
• Experience with NoSQL and/or DynamoDB is desirable.

The expected starting salary range for the Database Developer Senior is between ​$111,400 and $153,100 annually, for the Database Developer is between $90,500 and $124,400 annually and for the Database Developer Associate is between $66,100 and $90,900 annually. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and market data.

The Federal Reserve has developed a new interbank 24x7x365 real-time gross settlement (RTGS) service with integrated clearing functionality, called the FedNow Service. This service enables financial institutions to provide their customers with the ability to send and receive payments any time, any day, and have full access to those funds within seconds. The position will be primarily on-site with residency commutable to one of our offices required.

This position is responsible for leading implementation and management of the FRS cyber security framework for the FedNow service. Lead Cyber Risk Engineer reports to Sr Cyber Risk Manager.    

Key Responsibilities

• Augmenting AI and automation, design and implement solutions to mature GRC function in the DevSecOps framework (e.g., Policy as Code, CI/CD pipeline compliance checks).

• Lead and coordinate the implementation of security control requirements and related processes based on Federal Reserve information security framework and standards and in support of FedNow DevSecOps. This includes executing security activities based on NIST frameworks and related assessment activities for FedNow information systems.

• Review and analyze cloud vendor and inherited service provider security posture, e.g., FedRAMP packages, establish control ownership, and identity control gaps and associated risk.

• In coordination with various stakeholders, document and maintain a detailed data and information element matrix for system services highlighting sensitive and PII data and develop records for system security documentation including system security plans and associated security and operational processes.

• Identify control gaps and complete risk assessment for control deficiencies. Design plans of actions to address control gaps or risk acceptance. Develop, obtain, and maintain approval documentation.

• Coordinate security reviews and collaborate with security, assessment teams, and business and technical stakeholders to complete the reviews on schedule. Review assessment results, identify and document residual risks and action plans.

• Gather and present authorization packages including analysis and information on security posture and plans for continuous control assurance. Coordinate and obtain appropriate authorizations and sign-offs.

• Manage a portfolio of continuous assurance and compliance activities including ongoing control monitoring and data-driven reporting on FedNow users, process, and technology to guide risk management decisions. Identify and operationalize opportunities for process efficiencies especially through automation.

• Maintain ongoing awareness of developments of FRS and external (as applicable) security frameworks, guidance, and innovation.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

• To be successful in this role, you’ll need to be curious, adaptable, and eager to solve complex challenges with technical solutions (e.g., scripting, coding etc)
• Technical experience with GRC engineering activities is strongly preferred
• Possess knowledge and experience with AI capabilities
• Knowledge and experience normally acquired through, or equivalent to, the completion of a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6-10 years of relevant job experience

The salary range for this position is $154,300 - 192,900 - 231,500. The Boston Fed believes in salary transparency. The final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, skills, internal equity, and alignment with market data. What You Will Do:

What will be expected of you-

· Serves as a Software Engineer: to design, develop and implement new complex solutions in accordance with FedNow and Fed Standards

· Develops software solutions (primarily backend) in Cloud

· Provides input into strategic and tactical planning of software solutions and software development lifecycle changes

· Design and build Java application components, and integrate with software components and products that will be high performing, with world class scale and reliability

· Trains and consults cross functionally within the organization on troubleshooting/resolving highly complex and/or highly time critical problems

· Collaborates with analysts as part of an integrated Agile team to define user requirements and conduct design review for the development of complex and innovative cloud applications using modern internet-scale technologies and Serverless architecture in Cloud

Expertise you will bring-

The Enterprise Resources Planning department has an immediate opening for an AI Solutions Engineer, reporting to Senior Manager - Product Manager.

The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Support Office seeks an AI Solutions Engineer with Cloud experience to bring AI innovation across our enterprise while building the Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) foundation that enables it. This is a ground-floor opportunity to be a part of driving how AI transforms HR, finance, and procurement—while establishing the cloud platform capabilities needed to scale those solutions.

You'll begin by deploying and configuring native AI features within ERP vendor platforms (intelligent agents, assistants, automation), then progressively build the platform capabilities needed for custom AI applications, advanced integrations, and end-to-end automation solutions that connect across the enterprise. Your cloud engineering experience will be instrumental in developing deployment pipelines and engineering processes as we mature our PaaS capabilities.

This is a fully onsite position located in Richmond, Boston and Kansas District location.

What You Will Do:

• Translate business and operational challenges into practical AI opportunities and technical solutions
• Deploy and configure AI capabilities in ERP platforms and products such as Workday and SAP Ariba (AI agents, assistants, automation features)
• Build custom AI solutions including intelligent agents, chatbots and automation leveraging Gen AI and LLMs as platform maturity increases
• Define and document technical specifications for deploying ERP and AI solutions and capabilities.
• Lead AI projects from concept to production, ensuring business alignment and measurable ROI
• Enable PaaS environments within Workday and SAP to support AI deployments and future custom development
• Help develop deployment pipelines and engineering processes as we establish PaaS services, bringing your cloud engineering expertise
• Configure and integrate platform services, security, and governance with corporate cloud computing services and other business systems
• Assess emerging technologies and recommend adoption approaches, contributing to the ERP technology roadmap
• Evaluate vendor AI capabilities versus custom solutions based on requirements and total cost of ownership
• Champion AI literacy through training, demonstrations, and knowledge sharing across the organization
• Provide production support and knowledge training for solutions you deploy

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 10+ years in IT/software engineering with hands-on experience in corporate/industry environments
• Proven track record deploying AI solutions to production in corporate settings (traditional AI, Gen AI, or agentic AI)
• 3+ years with enterprise cloud platforms (Workday, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, or similar) in technical or configuration capacity
• Strong communication skills to explain complex or technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, especially with regards to AI solutions
• Experience with deployment pipelines, CI/CD, or DevOps practices
• Hands-on experience deploying AI/ML solutions including Machine Learning, Gen AI, LLMs, AI agents, or chatbots to production
• Platform configuration expertise with enterprise SaaS/PaaS systems or experience with IaaS environments
• Integration skills: RESTful APIs, webhooks, data flows, authentication (OAuth, SAML)
• Data management: SQL, data pipelines, data quality assessment
• Programming proficiency in Python

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Workday AI, SAP AI capabilities, or similar vendor-embedded AI
• Knowledge or experience with Workday Extend, SAP BTP, or similar platforms for custom development
• Process workflow automation knowledge/experience
• DevOps/MLOps experience building CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) and AI/ML services and frameworks
• Domain knowledge in HR, finance, or procurement
• AI/ML or cloud certifications

Job Description:

You will help administer and support Oracle databases with other DBAs within the operations organization. Collaborating with initiative and project owners to provide expert advice and support to enhance business outcomes. You will be part of the FRFS Technical Operations team that is tasked with overseeing the day-to-day operability of our nation’s payment systems.

Responsibilities:

• Perform research activities with a focus on complex data warehousing systems, automated ETL/ELT processes, data architecture, enterprise information systems, and project enhancements with Bank and System-wide impact.
• Optimize data warehouse performance through partitioning strategies, indexing, materialized views, and query tuning.
• Identify and analyze operational impacts of new projects, services, data warehouse infrastructure, enterprise information systems, and automated systems. Address moderately complex data-related customer issues.
• Support the organization with proposals for data warehouse architecture changes and enhancements. Provide input to the development and implementation of data standards, procedures, and safeguards.
• Work with management and staff across customer and service provider areas to define business and technical requirements for enterprise data warehousing and analytics systems. Communicate complex technical topics to non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate and communicate with team members to perform work, resolve issues, update statuses, and analyze and report on alternative data warehouse design solutions.
• Provide technical expertise in database and data warehouse solutions including DBMS tools and utilities usage, database administration, backup and recovery, database performance tuning and monitoring.
• Ability to influence development organizations to comply with data warehousing best practices, naming conventions, and design standards.
• Lead the support and enhancements of Oracle databases and data warehouse platforms in a highly available architecture.
• Assist with database and data warehouse platform contingency events.
• Travel required up to 15% of the time.
• Participate in database support on-call rotation.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Experience: Minimum 8 years supporting, designing, and engineering highly complex RAC-enabled Oracle data warehouse and data technology solutions across multiple diverse platforms requiring high performing, high volume transaction processing and analytical workloads.  Experience with RAC one-node.
• Oracle Data Warehousing: Proven experience designing and implementing Oracle data warehouses including dimensional modeling, ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and performance optimization.
• Data Modeling: Familiarity with dimensional modeling techniques (star schema, snowflake schema), slowly changing dimensions, and data warehouse design patterns.
• Oracle RDBMS and PL/SQL: Strong understanding of PL/SQL; ability to read/review code and offer suggestions to improve developer Packages, Functions, and Procedures.
• Unix, Linux, and/or AIX experience required.
• Performance Tuning: Expertise in query optimization, partitioning strategies, indexing, and materialized views for data warehouse environments.

Strongly Preferred:

• Oracle Analytics Server (OAS) and/or Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) experience with data warehouse integration.
• Experience with Operational Data Store (ODS) design and implementation.
• Experience working with Oracle Exadata.
• Java, Python, or other programming languages knowledge/experience for data processing and automation.
• Experience using ServiceNow and Jira for project and incident management.
• Experience working in Agile/DevOps teams for iterative data warehouse development.
• Ability to independently provide summary and recommendations on operational and analytical data.
• Knowledge and understanding of organizing or structuring complex data across varied data sources in a data warehouse context.
