Wireless Systems Validation Engineer

What you'll do

• Define co-existence performance requirements and test methodologies for multi-radio wireless products.
• Review PCB and flex layouts to provide design guidelines and resolve multi-radio coexistence issues.
• Perform large sample failure analysis and root cause analysis for parametric test failures.
• Measure and analyze radio frequency signals using spectrum analyzers, base station emulators, and network analyzers.
• Develop system mitigations to optimize overall radio system performance and quality.
• Conduct hardware rework activities including soldering and tuning to bridge performance gaps in mockups.
• Use 2.5/3-D EM simulation tools like HFSS or ADS to identify EMI issues at the conceptual stage.
• Collaborate with vendors to improve RF grounding, reduce EMI, and ensure manufacturing readiness.

What we're looking for

• Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
• 2 years of experience analyzing schematics and layouts using OrCAD capture for RF components like filters, switches, or amplifiers.
• 2 years of experience utilizing active and passive RF components such as amplifiers, filters, couplers, switches, and mixers.
• 2 years of experience configuring RF test equipment including callboxes, signal generators, and signal analyzers for measurements and debugging.
• 2 years of experience performing failure analyses on hardware to solve complex system issues during development.
• 2 years of experience working with vendors to improve RF grounding, reduce EMI, and navigate manufacturing processes.
• 2 years of experience performing rework activities such as soldering, tuning, and reassembling to evaluate mockups.
