Wireless System Validation Engineer

What you'll do

• Define RF hardware platform test requirements and design in-house test systems.
• Perform RF hardware validation using spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power meters.
• Characterize Radio Frequency (RF) Receiver (Rx) and Transmitter (Tx) chains.
• Optimize RF parametric performance including ACLR, Transmit Power, PAE, and IIP3.
• Build and execute detailed test plans to ensure compliance with worldwide regulatory and carrier requirements.
• Resolve 3GPP and regulatory compliance issues by providing recommendations to cross-functional teams.
• Analyze RF component behavior and characteristics in cellular technologies.
• Support manufacturing, manufacturing test, and certification processes for Apple products.

What we're looking for

• Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
• Experience characterizing and working with RF Receiver (Rx) and Transmitter (Tx) chains.
• Proficiency performing RF hardware validation using spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power meters.
• Experience optimizing RF parametric performance such as ACLR, Transmit Power, PAE, and IIP3 in various operating conditions.
• Experience measuring RF parameters including gain, stability, phase noise, timing, EVM, tx mismatch/loadpull, spurious emission, S-parameter, and noise figure.
• Ability to define RF test conditions for both automated and bench testing.
• Experience with wireless technologies such as IEEE, GSM, UMTS, LTE, or NR.
